Crafting For Good

The congregation of Riga Church welcomes Crafting For Good, a growing local non-profit that raises money through the sale of crafting supplies (thrift-store prices!!!) to fund food and clean water efforts, as they are needed.  Crafting For Good is also passionate about building community.  feel free to stop by, introduce yourself, and learn more about this wonderful ministry.  They are open most Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1000AM - 2:00PM.  Please check the 'Events' calendar on this website, for scheduling.

NNOC

NNOC (Northwest Neighborhood Outreach Center) is an outreach center that contributes to the health of the Maplewood and Edgerton neighborhoods in the Greater Rochester area.  Riga Church supports NNOC by preparing and serving meals through their "Walk-in Hospitality" program.

Refugee Assistance

The congregation of Riga Church supports refugee families settling in the Greater Rochester area by donating rice to ministries, such as Mary's Place, who directly serve our local refugee population.  The rice donations are funded through Pennies for Rice, an on-going fundraising project designed to raise the monies needed to supply the rice being donated. Mary's Place is one of the organizations supported through this project.
Every Penny Counts!!

S.W.E.M.

SWEM is a community food cupboard serving the southwest region of Rochester/Monroe County.  They provide emergency food bags at satellite sites through requests to a telephone Help-Line***.  Riga Church supports SWEM through food donations in the form of bulk food donations as well as holiday baskets.  Some members of our congregation also volunteer to help deliver food bags to their elderly clients each month.
